Why was SDG Created?

The purpose of creating SDGs was to create a set of global goals related to the environmental, political, and economic challenges that we face as humanity. There are a total of 17 SDGs created by the UN and set to achieve by 2030. The SDGs were created at the UN conference which was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2012.
