Differences between web clients and web servers are as follows:

Web Client Web Server
  • It is an application that communicates with a web server, using HyperText Transfer Protocol (HTTP).
  • It is a piece of software designed to serve web pages/websites/web services.
e.g. web browser. e.g. IIS, Apache and many more.
