Problem Scoping is the first and elementary stage of the project cycle, we should consider both the positive and negative aspects of the problem and if this stage is not performed correctly then the whole project will be a total failure but the question is 'Why ?', Let's take an example to understand this.

  1. Suppose you are a builder and you are given a contract to create an apartment on a piece of land.
  2. The first thing you will do is check the land, understand the budget and requirements of the client which in AI terminology is called Problem Scoping, or Understanding the Problem.
  3. But what if certain parameters like the Requirements of the client and Budget it not properly analyzed by you then can u imagine what will happen when u start making the building.
  4. There will be a shortage of resources. and remember that lack of resources will never let u continue a project.  

That is why Problem scoping should be done properly and we should check all the aspects of the problem.
